An autumn 2025 update from Credicorp

A mid-to-late 2025 progress update: what we have done so far this year, where help is available, and what we are still working on.

An autumn 2025 update from Credicorp

As the nights draw in, it feels like a good moment to take stock. We set out a short list of priorities at the start of the year, and we said we would report back on how we were getting on. This is that update: an honest look at what we have done so far in 2025, where help is available if you need it, and what we are still working on.

We have tried to keep our promises modest and then actually keep them, rather than announce big plans and quietly let them slide. So here is the picture, warts and all.

What we have done so far

Three things from our new-year list have moved forward in particular:

Alongside that, we passed an early milestone of supporting more than a thousand UK companies, and we have kept expanding our knowledge base so that common questions are answered clearly in one place. Our FAQs and support pages are the best place to start if you have a question.

  • We grew our support team. We welcomed several new colleagues earlier in the year, which has meant shorter waits and more time for the conversations that need it, especially when a company is finding repayments hard.
  • We refreshed the customer portal. Tracking your loan, signing documents, making payments and downloading statements are all easier to find now, on both the web and the app.
  • We invested in our technology. Stronger security, more reliable Open Banking connections and steadier systems, so the everyday things just work.

Where help is available

If there is one message we want to land in this update, it is that help is there when you need it. Cash flow gaps happen to good companies, and the worst thing you can do is wait until a payment has already been missed.

If a repayment is going to be a struggle, please tell us early. The quickest way is through our online forms, which send your message straight to the right team. We can often agree a short payment arrangement, a brief freeze to give your company breathing space, or a longer-term variation; our guide to our hardship and forbearance process explains how this works. And if your circumstances, such as health, bereavement or caring responsibilities, make things harder, our support pages explain how to ask for extra help. Reaching out early is never held against you.

Free, independent advice is also available for your business from Business Debtline at businessdebtline.org or on 0800 197 6026. They are confidential, independent and on your side.

A reminder of how we work

For anyone newer to us: we lend to UK limited companies and LLPs for business purposes. We lend to the company, not to its director personally, and we do not take a personal guarantee. We assess the company's affordability, run a business credit check, and are upfront about cost, because a short-term loan is an expensive way to borrow compared with other options. Every figure is on your Key Information Sheet (KIS) before you sign, and you can see what we currently offer on our business loans page.

What we are still working on

We are not done. We want to keep simplifying our paperwork, keep widening the knowledge base, and keep improving response times as we grow. We are also continuing to develop a running-credit facility as a second product for the future; for now, our live offering is the short-term Business Bridging Loan, and the business loans page always reflects what is actually available today.

Thank you for being part of our first year of trading. If you have thoughts on what we should focus on next, we would like to hear them; you can always reach us through our contact page.
